World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items are an essential part of gearing up your character. Upgrades increase item damage and the ability to enchant.

They also provide bonus effects and improvements. The Blacksmith can sell them to you.

The upgrade button is located on any item. Each recycled Best Item upgrade adds a level to the upgrade gauge.

Weapons

When the weapon is upgraded it is granted an initial damage bonus as well as a scaling factor that can affect other stats. Some upgrade item components have aesthetic effects while others give additional attributes. These upgrades can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools. They generally require that the equipment has an upgrade item slot and meet certain requirements. When a weapon or armor piece features an upgrade component within it, it is able to be upgraded, but the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be retrieved by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, Ascended Salvage tool, or a high-tier salvaging tool that is attached to an item.

A weapon can also be upgraded to include a calibration attribute that increases certain stats, such as Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Based on the level of the weapon the process can be repeated up to four times.

After the weapon has reached its maximum level of improvement, it can then be modified to give different bonuses and effects, or to improve specific stats. Several of these upgrades can be applied simultaneously, and the effects vary depending on the rarity of the weapon.

There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area and Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. Both require different upgrade materials: Smithing Stones for standard weapons, and Somber Smithing Stones to alter the kind of damage that a weapon inflicts.

Generally, it is advised to improve weapon damage first, followed by armour defense, and then the other secondary stats that are required by your build. In particular, it's common to see melee druids enhancing their weapon prior to any other gear, since this can increase DPS. This is especially relevant to enchantments that can be extremely efficient in increasing the damage of a weapon and other stats.

Armor

Item upgrades allow players to boost the stats of specific weapons, armors, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades can also give additional effects, such as an increase in damage or cosmetic enhancement. Item upgrades are available through crafting, buying from NPC vendors or loot drops, or as quest rewards.

The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currency. Most armor upgrades to the next level after an upgrade. This is possible for all types of armor, though certain types of armor cannot be upgraded in any way (such as the starter armor in Great Sky Island).

The majority of armor upgrades boost the item's defense or strength by a small amount. Certain upgrade components, however can result in significant increases in strength or defense. This is especially the case when upgrading epic items.

In addition to increasing the base defense of an item, certain upgrades also give specific abilities that can be activated while wearing an armor. These abilities can be useful in combat, such as granting a buff to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades provide passive effects that are useful like decreasing damage when wearing armor or increasing the chance to dodge an attack.

Based on the type of armor being used, upgrading an item may require multiple tries. For example for instance, if a player wants to upgrade an existing Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, the first attempt will result in a brand new piece of Dragonscale with an initial defense range of 59-67. The second attempt will result in a Dragonscale armor that has an initial defense range of 67-77.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to upgrade their armor sets up to level 4. To do so, they must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations is home to the power of a fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.

Despite popular belief armor isn't useless in The Division 2. Certain armors provide a significant boost in the reduction of the damage caused by poison spells, curses, magic or fire. This makes them very beneficial for certain types of builds. Additionally, there are ways to increase the stats of armor beyond the use of upgradeable armor, such as the engineer trait to boost armor penetration or the challenger trait to reduce total weight.

Potion

By putting a potion in a stand for brewing, you will be able to unlock new effects. The upgrade opens a different tier of potion effects, and can be re-used to increase the potency.

The potion also gets a custom color code, which the player can choose via /give, and that can affect the area-of-effect clouds as well as arrows produced by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color also affects the particle effects of the potions.

The water bottle, the mundane and thick potions as well as difficult potions, now have a different brewing texture. In the Creative Inventory, potion healing and potion weakness have been added. The addition of lingering potions that can be prepared using Dragon breath or splash potions. Also added is a thick potion which has the status effect Mining Fatigue. Trinket

A trinket can be a small, inexpensive ornament or piece jewelry. It could be a ring or necklace. It could also be a small banner to mark the lateen yard of a boat. It could also be a reference to a gilded trinket on the mast of a ship.

This bizarre trinket appears to be influencing the residents of this maze which makes them more prevalent. At its current level the trinket makes all types of mimic Xx more common, and gives each floor an X% chance to have an ebony mimic. This trinket requires a small amount of energy to upgrade.

The magic of the enchanted Scepter appears to affect the dungeon, increasing its likelihood of generating grass and water. This trinket, at its current level, will cause X% of regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It does not affect enchantments, glyphs, cursed weapons or armor or items that are produced to aid in the elimination of the dangers in rooms.

While it appears like a normal newt's eye, this mysterious item appears to affect your vision in ways other than simply reducing your field of view. This trinket, at its current level, boosts the health benefits of drinking healing potion and wells of life by X% and grants mind sight on enemies within the Y tile. This does not stack with Heightened Senses.

After you have completed the Mastery Cave, you can find Trinkets by taking on Monsters and inside chests and crates in Skull Cavern. They aren't found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.

If you have a trinket which needs to be upgraded then place it in the Anvil to do so. This will affect the trinket that is random and will either increase or strengthen its effects. You can reorge the Trinket as often as you want however it will always have a new effect.

You can also upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy and boost the trinket's power by a small amount.
